How Important Is Stitching Quality When Choosing A Down Comforter?

If you want a product that is downproof, meaning down won’t poke out or fall out through the shell, the stitching quality is very important.  All down product shells should be piped, with double rows of stitches along the outer edges.  Using 12 stitches per inch makes your binding stronger and the comforter more durable.

Make sure you only buy down products that have piping and a double row of stitching along the perimeter.  Otherwise, the down may leak through the edges.
